ONE SWEET MUSEUM
Indian River Citrus is famous throughout Florida and the entire United States. The Indian River Citrus Museum traces the history of how Indian River Citrus became a staple in the region. The cultivation began in the late 1800s and the industry has been booming ever since. This museum full of local history is only about 25 minutes from Captain Hiram’s Resort. The exhibits in the museum include photographs citrus workers, citrus groves, and pioneer families, artifacts from the beginning of the citrus industry, and even models of early citrus processing and packing plants. Before ending your day at the Indian River Citrus Museum, be sure to stop by the gift shop for a souvenir or two to help commemorate your visit.
