La Porte Farms
Established by Sebastian resident Laura LaPorte in 1994, LaPorte Farms petting farm is unique in Sebastian, FL. Laura grew up on a farm with goats, chickens, cattle, horses, and different types of animals, making her love for animals carry out what LaPorte Farm is nowadays. Set on a five-acre estate, this meticulously maintained farm has been described as one of Sebastian’s best-kept secrets.
LaPorte Farm’s mission is to provide a safe environment for every visitor, regardless of ability, age, or gender, to interact with friendly animals while enjoying nature and creating lifetime memories. At LaPorte Farms, you can feed drifters like tortoises, marmoset monkeys, goats, pot-bellied pigs, and llamas. Zebras, donkeys, chickens, geese, ducks, and tropical birds, among others! There are also pony rides and fishing opportunities for kids every day.
Being an inclusive establishment, LaPorte Farms is handicap accessible, and service dogs are available. If you visit on weekends, you can enjoy different food like hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and onion rings. LaPorte Farms offers free admission (although donations are greatly appreciated), opens from 8 am to 2 pm on weekdays and from 8 am to 4 pm on weekends, and closes exclusively for major holidays, private events, and inclement weather conditions.
